Steph

stephanieRwebSteph has just started blogging for RedemptionRadio. She has always believed in God, however, she did not fully accept him until her sophomore year of high school. At the age of 16, she was involved in a serious snow-tubing accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her whole world changed in that moment, and from that day on she's dedicated her life to loving God and loving others.

Currently, Steph is dual enrolled as a high school senior and a sophomore at her local community college. She plans to get her Associate of Arts in Education. When she's not in school, she works full time as a manager of a fast food chain and interns part time at her church. Steph enjoys expanding her musical collection, mentoring middle schoolers, and not taking life too seriously. She loves Dr. Pepper a bit too much, and her favorite book of the Bible is Isaiah.

Favorite Verse:
Isaiah 53:5 -But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

Laura Straessle

lauraWebLaura is 21 years old and originally from the state of Arkansas. She is technically what you call a Preacher’s Kid though by the Grace of God she was spared the “normal” life of a PK. She has always loved the Lord and had a passionate heart for her generation. From a young age she never doubted God loved her, though she has had her times of guilt and shame, she always felt His love. She enjoys reading, writing, music and staying up late with friends. A big part of her life is also Dancing and Drama ministries with her church. Despite always loving God, when she first began college she allowed herself to get so caught up in pleasing everyone, and doing well that she laid her calling down passively. She became apathetic in her walk with God. She recently had a loud wake up call. As a result of that call, Laura is following the Lord by laying down her college career for a year to attend a program in Oklahoma City, called Master’s Commission to better equip herself as a servant of Christ.

Favorite Verse:
Romans 8:38-39 “ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creations, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

rachelWebRachel is a 17-year old student from Northern Florida. She works part-time as a banquet server at one of the more popular hotels in her city. Beginning in August of 2009, she will attend Community College to earn her Associates of Arts degree while completing her high school education. She also enjoys fellowshipping with her family and her friends.

Rachel truly accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior in July of 2006. Since then, He has completely transformed her life. She was baptized by her grandfather in March of 2008. She currently attends a small Reformed, Evangelical church, where she teaches Sunday School to 3&4-year olds.
